Dear Family and Friends,
Thanks for the supplies sent with the last two groups. The cleanup is nearly done after an awesome touch from God with the youth group from our church in the States. Two more loads of laundry, the rooms are nearly clean, and supplies have been sorted and repacked for future use. It seems so quiet, but the Lord knows the perfect time for quiet.
Looking back to Feb.94, everything was new. God has really opened doors for our work here to flow smoothly. We have become friends with so many pastors. We have dear missionary friends to relax with. We have brothers and friends who sell car parts, fix brakes, clutches, do welding, make and upholster car seats (furniture as well), sell 100 lb. bags of rice, corn, and beans, sell household appliances, furniture, sell plastic bags and plastic crates. Brothers who build roads and have heavy equipment. Brothers who know Guatemalan construction, which is so different. God has supernaturally supplied all our needs according to His riches in glory!
So far, we’ve experienced tremors, rockslides, showers of volcanic ash, hail, uncrossable rivers, flat tires, near drowning, mudslides, roads fit for Hummers only, Guatemalan revenge, robberies, broken clutches, broken brakes, & broken bones, police checks, flooded rooms, scorpions, snakes, 2 hour hikes with blisters, mule rides, and the most dangerous of all DRIVING IN GUATEMALA!
On the other hand, God has used GMO to lead 2,000 souls in the sinner’s prayer. we’ve given food to the hungry, prayed for the sick and they were healed, prayed for the oppressed and they recovered, comforted the dying, visited the prisons, encouraged brothers and sisters in Christ, and preached the good news with enthusiam everywhere we went. We are your hands and your feet in Guatemala, but this is GMO’s report and you ARE GMO!
He has given us a vision for the Panimaquin area and has opened each door to begin that vision. Our first fiesta, Saturday, 1st anniversary of the church building. It will be close quarters at first, but soon we will begin construction of the mission house. When completed, we’ll settle in and watch God move!!!!!!!!
