      Update      September 2003

We’ve been in Panimaquin for ten years.  It’s been the most exciting time of our lives!

When we got here, there was only a twenty by thirty foot structure.  Now, as you can see our visions and buildings have grown exceeding what we could have imagined.

Our opening service for school took place Tuesday, January 24th.  All of the parents and students were extremely excited!  We were told, "Never did we think a secondary school would be in our village"!

Our numbers have been climbing each year, from 20 to almost one hundred. The only thing holding us back is the finances.

By the grace of God, we have added another teacher this year, bringing the total to twenty-five paid team members.  All the students were excited to start the year with new t-shirts.  Their days will be filled by study, not only chores.  What a blessing!

A a major breakthrough, the students from Panimaquin are studying with students from Xeparquiy (shay-par-key).  These two villages have been feuding for years.  Now for the first time ever they are attending Sunday service together.

All of our students study in small groups supervised by our teachers and overseen by Lazaro and Glendy our school directors.  This year they are blessed to have a new credentialed teacher on board.  Her name is (If-E).
